Latvians finish at the Intercontinental Cup in Altenberg at the end of the second decade

Latvian skeletonists Elvis Veinbergs and Krists Netlaus took 16th and 19th place in the Intercontinental Cup on the Altenberg track on Thursday, respectively.

Weinberg took the 15th place in the first race, but in the second race he managed to finish with the 17th fastest time, 3.41 seconds behind the winner German Felix Zaibel in the sum of two races.

Netlaus, who showed the seventh fastest start time in both races, was in the 18th position after the first race, but the 19th place in the second race made him fall one place lower, and by giving way to the winner of 3.89 seconds, he finished only in 19th place.

The winner, Zaibel, who was the fastest in both races, finished in two races per minute and 52.76 seconds. The second was the Russian athlete Yevgeny Rukosujev, who was 0.16 seconds behind Zaibel, but the German Felix Keizerer finished in the top three, losing 0.28 seconds to his compatriot.
