Latvian Television in the new 67th season will create changes and inspire the holiday / Article

In the new season, Latvian Television (LTV) will offer a number of surprising changes, many new and exciting – both news and programs will change. Broadcasts of large-scale cultural events, glorious song and dance festivals, unprecedented documentary and art films, high-quality series are expected. TV personalities and programs already loved by viewers will also return, LTV informed.

“67. in the season we change ourselves and create changes! Preserving the most important values: responsibility, independence and excellence, we implement innovative visual and technological solutions in order to inform, educate, entertain and inspire viewers even more successfully, ”says Ivars Priede, a member of the LTV Board.

Everyone will soon notice changes in the news and broadcasts created by LTV News Service – from a new studio, in a new visual format and excellent HD quality, the news service team will continue to reliably, objectively and independently analyze and reflect what is happening in Latvia and the world. The analytical research program “De Facto” has already returned to the air, the current interview “1: 1”, “Forbidden Method”, “Panorama of the World” and “Today’s Question” are expected soon.

In the unprecedented digital content project “Būris”, the LTV News Service this season will call for opinion deeds and breaking out of the cage of stereotypical thinking.

At the end of September, the social media portal LSM.lv and social media will feature socio-psychological and political discussions, human stories, playable games and broadcasts on topics that clearly cause conflicts of opinion: vaccination, partnerships, veganism, patriotism, gender equality, etc. Discussions from Bris also Members of the European Parliament.

With the new season, LTV will return to the TV personalities and programs already beloved by viewers – tonight, on August 23, in the game “VIP – Success. Intuition. The authors of the performance are members of the independent theater troupe “Kvadrifrons”, director – Paula Pļavniece. “Teātris.zip” performances for adults are also expected in November and December.

The range of children’s programs in the autumn will be joined by “Dardarija”, the game “Smart, even smarter”, “Ralph is preparing” and a new – unprecedented program for preschool children “Bardaks in the attic” otherwise acceptance. The culture in the new LTV season will be full of surprises! Broadcasts of glorious cultural events are also expected on LTV: on September 4, the orchestra of the Bayreuth Festival and the outstanding Latvian conductor Andris Nelsons will be seen and heard from the festival “Riga Jurmala”, who will give a music concert by Richard Wagner. In September, spectators will also have the opportunity to enjoy the concert “Raimonds Pauls and Imants Ziedonis. And we should not get more for a moment … ”.

New documentaries about notable Latvian cultural figures – Gunārs Cilinskis, Pēteris Krilovs and others – are also expected.

From September 8, we will offer spectators a great opportunity to watch the New Riga Theater actors’ performance up close at home on Wednesday evenings – the multi-series art film “Agency” combines a psychological thriller with a detective, events will take place in Riga and Latvia in the summer of 2020. On Thursday evenings, the new “True Latvian Mistresses” will evoke heartfelt emotions – from September 9, seven mistresses from all over Latvia will show their culinary skills and surprise with hospitality to fight for the recognition of the other ladies and win the main prize of the show.

The program “Roots in the Sky” will change this season – the program created by publicist and philosopher Ilmārs Latkovskis on September 19 will become the “Great Truths”, continuing to look at philosophical issues of spirituality, ethics and morality even more broadly and deeply.

Finally, in the new season, LTV will be happy and responsible to become the main venue for the Latvian school youth song and dance festival! We will inspire the festival by inviting small and large spectators to sympathize with the participants of various genres of music and dance concerts and concert films. On September 18, the first event will take place from the Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum in Riga, as well as Rezekne, Jelgava and Kuldiga – a folk music concert “Feast is us!”. From September 25, on Saturday evenings, spectators will have the opportunity to enjoy a cordial get-together in the glorious holiday game “Let there be a holiday!”.
