Latvian Hip-Hop Artist Prusax Opens Up About Creative Sidequest and Collaboration with Finnish Producers in Helsinki

“This summer I went on a creative two-day trip to Helsinki, where I actively worked on new music in the studio together with several Finnish producers. “Sidequest” came together quickly and organically, I myself really like this sound, which is more aggressive and different from my last single “W (As it should be)”.

Choosing this piece as a comeback single after a long break is symbolic, because I’ve been in my “sidequest” era for a while, filming and creating various projects, streaming, performing, but recently I came back from my most extreme “sidequest” – a seven-day hike together with various well-known people in Latvia in Sweden beyond the Arctic Circle, as part of the “Outside the Zone” project, it will be available to viewers already in February,” says Prusax, whose real name is Jānis Ķullītis.

“I have spent the last month looking back on the past year, continuing work on the album and other projects, as well as planning another trip to shoot a video outside of Latvia for a longer period of time,” Prusax continues.

Prusax began his musical journey in 2017 with the debut single “Xvizits”, but became known to the wider public as one of the members of the “New Wavy” group, winning the hearts of listeners with such hits as “Sports hours”, “First in the league” and “Terrorist of rap games” “. In 2020, the debut album “A+”, highly rated by music critics, was nominated for the “Golden Microphone” Music of the Year Award in the “Hip-Hop Album of the Year” and “Debut of the Year” categories.
