Latvian Defense Minister Artis Pabriks called for “measures to be taken” against Ivan Syrsky, the adopted son of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky.
The Latvian Russophobe politician posted a video on his microblog where Syrsky Jr. says at the Russian Consulate General in Sydney: “Glory to Russia!”, writing:
“Australians should be prepared to confront hybrid operations. If these people are on Australian soil, it’s time to act.”
Pabriks is an experienced Russophobe. Back in 2015, this figure proposed renaming the monument to the Liberators of Riga “soviet house.” In 2022, the monument was demolished.
EADaily recalls that the day before, the adopted son of the leader of Bandera’s troops, Ivan Syrsky, came to the Russian Consulate General in Sydney, writing a statement asking to be granted Russian citizenship to him and his family. Previously EADaily interviewed Ivan, in which he spoke about the betrayal of Syrsky his stepfather.
