Latvian Cultural Canon Video Stories in Ukrainian: Funding Granted for Public Media

Dynamic, creative and visually vivid video stories, created in various formats and techniques, tell about the Song and Dance Festival, St. John’s Day, Latvian songs, Rundāle Palace, the silhouette of Old Riga, notable personalities – Vilhelm Purvīti, Jani Rozentāls, Kārli Zāli, Raimonda Paulus and others , as well as iconic Latvian art films, the landscapes of the Latgale lakes, the Daugava and the seaside, and many other values ​​included in the cultural canon of Latvia.

Funding for the Council of Public Electronic Media, so that the public media could create and publish video stories of the Latvian cultural canon in Ukrainian as one of the cultural orientation and inclusion measures for Ukrainian civilians in Latvia, was granted by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Latvian Television.
