March 4 at The Liepāja Symphony Orchestra will open the 19th anniversary celebrations of the festival on the stage of the Great Amber Concert Hall, which together with organist Iveta Apkalns, pianist Reini Zariņš and flutist Dita Krenberg will premiere the three-time concert of Arturs Muscat Childhood church stained glass and summer butterflies. Imants Resnis, the former artistic director of the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, started the Liepāja International Star Festival in 1993 as the International Piano Star Festival. About two hundred pianists from all over the world have performed at the festival.
