Actress Gunta Virkava has suspected an “evil eye” and a “black stripe”, because lately she has been haunted by one misfortune after another, writes the publication “Kas Jauns”.
First she broke her ribs, then her ankle, but for the last three months the actress has been haunted by a deep cough. In the midst of all this, Virkava really wants to be useful in her profession and work, but the Latvian National Theater, which belongs to her, no longer offers work, writes “Kas Jauns”.
The 72-year-old actress Gunta Virkava reveals to the magazine that the National Theater had promised her a chance to return, but this has not happened so far.
“I may have wronged the theater, because there were performances I couldn’t attend, but I really had high blood pressure and I was sleeping at home. I have apologized to the theater several times. And I can swear that in 46 years on stage, not once I have not drunk alcohol, not even 25 grams. What is not said about me that I have used alcohol…” said Virkava.
In the interview, she also reveals that she lives a very healthy life, has not been drinking alcohol or smoking for several years, but a series of health problems has made her think about the black stripe in her life.
