The Latvian 3×3 basketball team “Riga” with Nauri Mieze, Kārlis Lasmanis, Angi Čavars and Edgars Krūmiņš reached the quarterfinals of the World Tour on Friday in Doha.

In the tournament with the second number, “Riga” beat the Japanese team “Yoyogi” in the first game of group B with the result 21:15, sown with the 13th number. Krūmiņš and Miezis scored seven points, Lasmanis had four points and Čavaras three.
In the second match of the group, the Latvians won the Saudi unit “Jeddah” with the result 22:15, which received the seventh number. Krūmiņš scored with nine points in the “Riga” team, Miezis scored seven, and Čavaras and Lasmanis scored three each.
The final tournament in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will take place on December 11 and 12 and will feature the top 12 teams in the FIBA World Tour ranking.
There are only five races on the World Tour during the Covid-19 pandemic season. Three of them took place in Debrecen in August and September, where “Riga” celebrated the victory in one of the stages, but in the other two it stopped in the semi-finals and quarterfinals.
