Latino Book and Family Festival: Bilingual Workshops, Health Information, and Financial Empowerment

SACRAMENTO – This weekend the Latino Book and Family Festival takes place at Sacramento City College.

There will be bilingual activities and workshops, there will be more than 100 exhibitors who will offer information on various topics, including health.

In addition, attendees will be able to learn more about financial empowerment.

There will be the special presence of activist Dolores Huerta and astronaut José Hernández, as special speakers and they will also be signing books.

On Saturday the event begins at 10:00 am and runs until 3:00 pm at 3835 Freeport Boulvard.

José Hernández, of peasant parents and from Michoacán, Mexico, is the first astronaut of Mexican origin to be accepted by NASA, after having been rejected 11 times.
