As “Delfi” informed the representatives of “Gora”, again this time in the project competition for exhibitions in 2022-2023. Both artists and exhibition curators in the field of visual art, decorative applied art and design are invited to participate in the group, offering group or solo exhibitions, curated and other exhibitions. Applications for the competition are accepted until June 17 this year
The art gallery-type exhibition space at the Latgale Embassy “Gors” was opened in February 2016. During this time, the gallery featured both unique, resonant and touching, exploratory and largely exhibition projects created especially for exhibition in Rēzekne – painter Roberta Muža’s solo exhibition “Latvia. Landscape. Portrait”, Diāna Īve’s exhibition “Sunny Corners”, sculptor and designer Ā Smildzers sculpture exhibition “Selection”, Osvaldas Zvejsalnieks solo exhibition “Self-portrait. Personality in studies”, artist Taya Bell’s first solo exhibition in Latvia, artist Franciska Varslavāns and artist Francesca Kirke’s personal exhibition-project “Francisks and Francesco”, Parallel Worlds “, Annele Slišāne’s textile art exhibition dedicated to the centenary of Latvia” # 100decents to Latvia “, Aigars Bikše’s selection of sculptural works” A. This year began at the Gora Art Gallery with an exhibition of works by Helena Svilane-Kuzmin, which opened in 2020, “Woman and the Moon”, which in 2021 was only available to the public in digital form due to Covid-19 restrictions. At present, as the restrictions diminish, visitors are waiting for the exhibition of the painter Vija Zariņa “Painted Nature” exhibited in the new exhibition equipment.
Latgale Embassy “Gors” Art Gallery is one of the most visited places of art exhibitions not only in Latgale region, but in the whole of Latvia, giving an opportunity to get acquainted with high-quality works of art and stories for a very wide and diverse circle of interested people. It is planned that there will be five exhibitions in the Gora Art Gallery in 2022, one exhibition is planned for about two and a half months. Exhibitions of works by at least two authors will be postponed to 2022 from 2021, therefore we also provide a place for the exhibition applications of 2023 in the exhibition design competition.
