During its existence, Denuvo’s anti-piracy protection has been able to prevent or at least delay the release of pirated copies of a number of games. The latest versions of Denuva are capable of individual titles protect even several months after release, which was unthinkable just a few years ago. But as it turns out, even the most sophisticated DRM solutions are not unbreakable.
The Empress Group has recently announced that it has succeeded beat the latest version of Denuva with number 18. The victim was Resident Evil 4 Remake, which was cracked 52 days after its release. In addition to Denuv, the remake of the fourth Resident Evil is also equipped with VMProtect technology and Capcom’s own anti-piracy solution.
After the experience with Resident Evil Village, the pirated version of which ran better than the official one, players began to wonder if Resident Evil 4 Remake had not met a similar fate. However, as the comparison videos below show, so both versions run exactly the same.
