Jakarta –
The government decided not to implement PPKM level 3 in the period of Christmas and new year 2022 in all regions. The government also disclosed the conditions for international and domestic travel during Christmas and New Year.
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan explained that Indonesia’s borders would still be tightened on the condition that passengers from abroad had a negative PCR test result a maximum of 2×24 hours before departure. Upon arrival in Indonesia, the government requires people who come from abroad to quarantine for 10 days.
Meanwhile, domestic long-distance travel conditions are mandatory for complete vaccination and negative antigen results a maximum of 1×24 hours before departure. For adults who have not been fully vaccinated or cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons, long-distance travel is not permitted.
“Children can travel, but with PCR conditions that apply 3×24 hours for air travel or 1×24 hour antigen for land or sea travel,” Luhut said in a written statement, Monday (12/6/2021).
In addition, the government also prohibits all types of New Year’s celebrations in hotels, shopping centers, malls, tourist attractions and other public crowded places. Operations of shopping centers, restaurants, cinemas and tourist attractions are only allowed with a maximum capacity of 75 percent and only for people with the green category in the PeduliLindung application.
“As for social and cultural events, the maximum number of people allowed is 50 people. The discipline of using Care to Protect must be enforced,” added Luhut.
