Eschbach: suspect arrested after burglary

The police arrested a suspect on August 1st, 2023 after a burglary in Eschbach. Residents of the affected family home on Hauptstrasse called the police at 4:20 a.m. after they said they heard suspicious noises on the ground floor and then observed at least one suspicious person who was probably escaping on a bicycle.
As part of the immediately initiated search, a suspect was found lying in a green strip near Müllheim. He was carrying a pedelec and suspected stolen goods and was provisionally arrested. It is a man aged 26 years. At the request of the public prosecutor’s office in Freiburg, he is in custody. The Freiburg Criminal Investigation Department is conducting further investigations.
