Latest Study Reveals: BMW Drivers Are Not the Worst in General Traffic

The results of the latest study on the violations of motorists have proven that BMW drivers are far from the worst in general traffic.

It’s no secret that a stereotype has formed about BMW drivers, as aggressive and often breaking the rules or endangering other road users. This is overturned by the latest study of the comparison portal Verivox, which evaluated the penalty points received for traffic violations in Germany.

It turns out that Škoda Superb drivers take the first place very convincingly with 91 percent above average. BMW, or more specifically, 2-series drivers, are in second place (75%), ahead of those who drive Mercedes CLA (66%). Drivers of Audi A5, Seat Leon and Peugeot 307 rank next.

Audi Q5, Mercedes E-class, VW Transporter and Audi A4 are also in the top ten.

If we look at the evaluation of brands, the situation is different. Porsche drivers collected the most penalty points (76% above average), closely followed by Land Rover (75%) and Jaguar (73%).

On the other hand – if we see a Fiat Panda next to us, we can not worry – the drivers of these vehicles are as calm as the panda bear mentioned in the title, because the number of violations committed by them is 66 percent below average. Only slightly worse result Mitsubishi Colt (57%)
