Nationalgeographic.co.id—There are 156 species frog glass is known to live throughout the neotropics, especially in the northern Andes and Central America. Recent advances in optics, science genetics, and molecular biology have given researchers an astonishing view.
Juan Manuel Guayasamin, an evolutionary biologist at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador, has described 56 species of amphibians in recent years, including 14 frog glass.
“It’s an important, never -ending job,” Juan said on the page National Geographic.
Multiple species frog male glass has a rare trait. At least 24 male species not only protect the female eggs from predators, but actively care for them, sometimes for weeks.
There are also cases in some species. After the female has deposited 20 to more than 100 eggs in her clutches, the male fertilizes the eggs with sperm.
