The team of the best Playstation 3 emulator, RPCS3, has released a completely new version. This version of RPCS3 has a new feature that allows you to unlock the frame rate in Playstation 3 games.
As the team noted, vblank will allow you to change the frame rate in the game. This option is located on the “Advanced” tab in the emulator settings. Moreover, you can dynamically change the vblank scale and clock frequency during the game to achieve the desired frame rate.
However, keep in mind that not every game works with vblank settings. Thus, you may need some special patches for the game to unlock the frame rate.
Games currently have an unlocked frame rate for games: Skate 3, WipEout HD, Ni No Kuni, and Yakuza Ishin. In addition, almost all Naughty Dog studio games work with vblank. Thus, you can play Uncharted: Fortune Drake, Uncharted 2, Uncharted 3, and The Last of Us with an unlocked frame rate.
