The rock band Megara consists of Kenzy, Rober, Vitti, Kat, Aria and Emma.
They have previously tried to win Spain’s equivalent of Melodifestivalen, “Benidorm Fest” but ended up in fourth place. In 2024, they instead gave San Marino’s “Una voce per San Marino” a try and thus went on to Eurovision with the song “11:11”.
It is not the first time that San Marino sends artists from another country to Eurovision. Before, the country has been represented by artists from, among others, Turkey, the USA, Germany and Malta. In 2021, artist Flo Rida competed for the country.
The microstate of San Marino is currently the competition’s smallest country in terms of size and population.
– San Marino has 33,000 inhabitants. So they are open to bringing in artists from other countries and we thought ‘why not?’, says singer Kenzy.
