A well-known source has given us some new information about Apple’s upcoming iPhone 14 lineup. The leak reveals schematics for the two high-end models of the iPhone 14 Pro, which suggest these variants will arrive with a more prominent camera bump and a thicker design.
Max Weinbach recently posted some images on Twitter, containing alleged schematics for the iPhone 14 Pro. These diagrams are interesting because they reveal detailed information and measurements of Apple’s upcoming devices.

These diagrams claim that the larger iPhone 14 Pro Max will be 77.58mm wide, making it smaller compared to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, which was 78.1mm. Moreover, this model could be almost identical to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, because its difference is almost nonexistent. The new model is said to measure 160.7mm, while the 13 Pro Max measures 160.8mm.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max will also be slightly thicker than the current iteration of Apple’s top model, as the upcoming model could be 7.85mm thick. In contrast, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is 7.65mm thick. However, the biggest difference would come with the camera setup, and I’m not talking about sensors.
These new patterns claim that the new camera bump on the iPhone 14 Pro Max will be 4.17mm thick, which is considerably larger than the 3.60mm bump found in the iPhone 13 Pro Max. In addition, the layout could also increase in width and height, as we could get a new 36.73mm width and 38.21mm height, instead of the 35.01mm and 36.24mm dimensions of Apple’s most powerful iPhone to date.

On the other hand, we have the iPhone 14 Pro which will be almost identical to the iPhone 13 Pro, with less than 1mm difference in both width and height. However, the changes will be noticeable on the camera bump, as the new model is said to measure 4.17mm compared to the current 3.60mm.
The best part is that these new iPhone 14 Pro schematics also suggest that high-end models will eventually ditch the notch. They also imply that Jon Prosser was wrong when he claimed that the new iPhone 14 models will also eliminate the rear camera bump. Either way, remember that these are nothing more than rumors, so they should be taken with a grain of salt.
At the same time, Apple will also discontinue the iPhone mini, as the company no longer plans to invest in the 5.4-inch format. The smallest iPhone you can buy will be the iPhone SE.
