Latest Generation Toyota Fortuner: New Design, Features, and Engine Specifications

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The latest generation Toyota Fortuner seems ready to launch in the near future.

The form of Toyota’s flagship ladder frame sport utility vehicle (SUV) has been circulating on social media. One of them was uploaded by the Instagram account @autoreelsindia.

In the upload, you can see the front of the Fortuner which has a new design. Even though the image resolution is low, you can see that the front fascia of the new generation Fortuner has changed completely.

The front of the Fortuner now looks similar to the All New Yaris Cross and Corolla Cross, where it adopts a hexagon-shaped grill. The main lights also look narrower, creating an aggressive impression.

Quoted from TransportSunday (10/9/2023), the latest generation Fortuner is expected to use Toyota’s TNGA-F platform, which is also the basis for the Tundra, Land Cruiser and Lexus LX.

With this chassis, it is claimed that this new generation of Fortuner will have larger dimensions and better proportions. Cabin space also has the potential to be wider, making it more comfortable for the driver and passengers.

Talking about the powertrain, the latest Fortuner reportedly uses a 2.8L four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, which is paired with a hybrid system. But unfortunately, there are no details regarding the engine specifications.
