Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The liquidation team conveyed the latest developments in the bill verification process to PT Asuransi Jiwa Adisarana Wanaartha (Wanaartha Life/WAL). So far, half of the policyholder data has been verified.
According to the latest data from the Wanaartha liquidation team received by CNBC Indonesia on Friday (21/7/2023), the total number of verified policyholders is 7,749 or 61.61% of the total 12,577 policyholders.
Meanwhile, 16,302 verified policies or 62.02% of the total policies, namely 26,285 policies.
“Billing through direct registration (walk in) which has been verified: all bills registered in January to February 2023, as well as some bills registered in March 2023,” wrote the Wanaartha liquidation team in an official statement.
Bills through verified posts are all bills that have been registered through Palembang, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Malang and Kediri posts. The verification process for the remaining policyholder bills is still being carried out by the Liquidation Team.
In addition, all other parties acting as other creditors have been verified. In detail, creditors consist of 56 employees, the rest are 9 other creditors.
That way, the total number of creditors that have been verified is 7,814 from 12,642 parties.
“The Liquidation Team is always committed to providing reports on the progress of an efficient and optimal liquidation process to creditors, especially to creditors who hold more than twelve thousand creditors,” concluded management.
Previously, the head of the liquidation team, Wanaartha Harvardy M. Iqbal, said that the announcement of the list of bills and audit reports was planned to be completed by the end of July. When referring to the initial timeline, this implementation should occur in June.
“The audit is still ongoing, the plan is finished at the end of July,” Harvardy told CNBC Indonesia via text message some time ago.
Harvardy admits that his party is still experiencing several obstacles, especially regarding data. “The problem is still related to data limitations,” he added.
Previously, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) confirmed that there were problems accessing PT Asuransi Jiwa Adisarana Wanaartha (Wanaartha Life) customer data which hindered the liquidation process and payment of default policies.
It is known, the liquidator team cannot validate the data of policyholders because the main data is still blocked by Bareskrim. Allegedly, this blocking occurred when there was a determination of 7 suspects in August 2022.
