Latest Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.01 Breaks Passive Skills: Player Encounters Game-breaking Bugs

Although players will agree that the version 2.0 patch that arrived in Cyberpunk 2077 before the release of the Phantom Liberty expansion took the game to a higher level and symbolically completed it in an acceptable way repair, the problem did not completely disappear from the game. What’s more, completely new bugs were allowed to appear in the game, which should have been caused by the hotfix on version 2.01, which allegedly broke passive skills, which can adversely affect gameplay if you really specialize in the development of your hero and count on the fact that these skills will support you. The problem was encountered by a player with the nickname Dibilowas, who described the problem on Reddit and explained what the problem was.

He encountered the problem thanks to the fact that he has probably already spent hundreds of hours in Cyberpunk 2077, and the game is played with several differently built characters. When the 2.01 patch came out, he continued to play, but he didn’t like, for example, that regardless of the passive abilities previously made available, his sniper still moved slightly when aiming. And she shouldn’t have, considering its effect, which Dibilowas was used to for a long time. He immediately discovered that the problem was related to what lay position it loads, and it was there that he came across the fact that version 2.01 might be broken.

When he loaded the older position even from clean version 2.0, everything worked. The moment the game saved the progress and loaded the newly created position from version 2.01, the game ignored the ability. It wasn’t far from that to the list of “passives” that are affected by the patch, and in addition to preventing weapon movement, for example, the impossibility of hacking enemies through walls while using Overclock or refilling your magazine by sliding and dashing. Dibilowas isn’t making a big deal out of it, rather pointing out that someone’s game can be significantly affected by the patch, although he says many players don’t seem to even notice the outages.

No one from the company’s representatives has yet responded in the discussion on Reddit, but it is certain that if this is really a widespread problem, the reports will increase and the developers will fix the deficiency.
