JAKARTA – There are many attempts by fraudsters to trick victims. One of them is through SMS or WhatsApp messages which are often sent from unknown numbers.

This incident may often be experienced every day. There are just “stray” SMS or WhatsApp with various modes to ensnare the victim.
Reported from the Instagram upload of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Saturday (12/6), the following are the characteristics of short messages that are usually sent by fraudsters.
1. Start the message with a greeting that is not commonly used to us.
2. Borrowing money suddenly with the promise to return it immediately without introducing yourself. Even if you introduce yourself, don’t believe it easily.
3. Get a gift but must make a transfer first.

So please be careful if you get a message from an unknown number or person.
