Nothing to complain about when you step outside, right? Calm weather, pleasant sunshine and, okay, the occasional splash of rain on your head. It is good late summer weather, according to meteorologist Marc de Jong of Buienradar.
“It’s almost summer weather,” says De Jong. With temperatures of 20, 21, 22 degrees it is a lot warmer than normal this time of year. In an average year we have to make do with a degree of about 18 at the end of September.
Storm Agnes
Those temperatures will remain relatively the same all week. According to De Jong, it should therefore be quite possible to find a terrace, or to pay your garden – if you have one – a visit.
This is how hot it is in your place right now:
However, it will not remain dry all week. “Tomorrow the coastal provinces will have to deal with wind force 6 and some rain,” says De Jong. This is due to storm Agnes, which rages over England. The consequences of this end up in the west of our country.
Very nice weekend
De Jong: “The next disruption will occur on Thursday evening, and during the night into Friday. That could also cause some showers on Friday morning.”
It is no coincidence that it will rain on the coast. In the video below you can see why it always rains more in the coastal provinces in the autumn than in the rest of the country:

The weekend then goes ‘very nicely’, as De Jong puts it. “There may still be a chance of showers in the north on Sunday, but that is still uncertain.”
