After a long wait, she was listed on the sidewalk of art and fame in Hollywood, on Wednesday, as a star in the name of the American rapper Tupac Shakur, who was killed 27 years ago after he knew a rich artistic career despite its shortness.
The hip-hop star was considered the most prominent artist on the American West Coast before he was assassinated by gunshot wounds in September 1996 in Las Vegas, in circumstances that are still mysterious, and he was no more than twenty-five.
The sister of the late Sekiwa “Set” Shakur said during the ceremony honoring in Los Angeles that he “knew in his heart that a great future awaits him.”
“I am very honored to be here today to represent the Shakur family,” she added. “Being his younger sister, I had the privilege of keeping pace with his rise in stature,” she added.
And he sold 75 million albums from Tupac, whose most prominent songs were “California”, “Changes”, “Dear Mama” and “All Eyes on Me”.
Tupac Shakur, who would have turned fifty-one today, if he were alive, still has a great place in the world of hip-hop, due to the emotional charge of his lyrics and his theatrical sense.
