Sampang (beritajatim.com) – Towards the end of the year, cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in Sampang regency reached 337 patients.
The head of the Department of Health and Family Planning (DinkesKB) of the Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) Service Yuliono explained that the number of DHF sufferers was obtained from the report data for Community Health Service Center (Puskesmas listen)) throughout the Sampang Regency.
“Currently there are still hundreds, according to reports from the Puskesmas,” explained Yuliono, on Tuesday (12/27/2022).
He explained that the highest data for DHF sufferers came from Banyuanyar Health Center which reached 81 sufferers. While the lowest was in the West Bunten health center, in the Ketapang district, where there were no DHF patients.
“The lowest cases were in the Pantura Sampang area, a working area of the Puskesmas in West Bunten also had 0 dengue cases,” he said.
When asked about achieving suppression, he argued that DHF is a virus. So that he admits, that next year he has to increase vigilance. This has been done so that dengue can be more optimally suppressed.
“To prevent dengue, don’t forget 3M, which is to drain water tanks, close water tanks and bury used goods or drain, close and bury,” he added.
She explained that the 3M movement is an effective way to reduce the spread of dengue fever, but it should be noted that prevention efforts can also be made, including avoiding mosquito bites, sleeping using nets, and using mosquito repellents.
“Community participation in dengue prevention is very important, especially in implementing the 3M plus movement program,” he said. [sar/beq]
