The meeting on the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System has endorsed the position of Asturias Over the residents. In a long debate, since there were communities that were betting on not keeping the evaluation dates in May and extending one more year, the Principality has managed to ensure that those who are in last year could be evaluated so that health services can offer them contracts according to their degree as specialists in Health Sciences.
The measure will benefit the region 171 professionals doctors, psychologists or nurses. The counselor, Pablo Fernández, believes that with this decision “The effort they are making during this pandemic is recognized” of COVID-19. This measure will benefit 171 professionals in the Principality.
During the meeting, the director of the Center for the Coordination of Health Alerts and Emergencies, Fernando Simon, has also put as example to Asturias. “He has transmitted to us that there has been a very important stress in the health and social and health services and those who have obtained the best results have been those that have reinforced them, as is our case,” Fernández explained after the meeting. This has a direct consequence.
The decision on residents will take place this week to the institutional Commission for the Training of Specialists and the evaluation process will be performed before the end of May.
