Dorin Ștefan Adam, an associate professor at the “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urbanism in Bucharest who was accused of sexual harassment against some female students, has resigned, according to information provided by Edupedu.ro. The decision comes after the rector of UAUIM asked the university’s assembly to end the employment contract in the case of the teacher.

According to the Rector Marian Moiceanu, who was mentioned in the information, “today we received the resignation of the Associate Dr. Arch. Dorin Stefan Adam. I believe that it is a natural, responsible way to undertake behavior that is not compatible with the quality of a teacher. Being a unilateral decision, I will take note and immediately initiate actions to terminate all contractual relations”.

• According to the information Edupedu.ro, in the resignation letter the teacher claims innocence, but says that the public image was damaged for him and the institution.

Edupedu.ro wrote, on Wednesday, that the Rector of UAUIM in Bucharest asked the University Senate to permanently terminate the employment contract with professor Dorin Ștefan Adam, who is accused of sexual harassment on some female students. Rector Moiceanu said that the teacher “has seriously damaged the image of the school” and that his behavior is immoral.

“The behavior of the teachers is unkind. He violated the Code of Ethics and the provisions of the University Charter and caused serious damage to the image of the school. That is why the members of the Board of Directors have decided that we will ask the University Senate to end the employment contract permanently.” – rector of UAUIM, Marian Moiceanu, in statements published on Wednesday by Edupedu.ro.

University lecturer Dorin Ștefan Adam has been suspended from all teaching activities and is being investigated by the higher education institution’s ethics commission, as Edupedu.ro wrote a week ago.

• The University’s response to the cancellation comes after the article published by the website redactiaropaganism.eu in which allegations of sexual harassment are presented – Adam posted several indecent photos of his female students on social media.
