Last week, the average price of 95-brand gasoline in Latvia did not change, but the average price of diesel decreased by 1.3%, according to data compiled by the European Commission (EC).

EC information released this week shows that in Latvia a liter of 95 brand petrol cost an average of 1,795 euros in the week of November 8 to 14, and a week earlier the average price of 95 brand petrol was 1,795 euros per liter , and a week ago – 1,821 euros per liter.

The average price of diesel last week, however, was 1,934 euros per litre. A week earlier, the average price of diesel was 1,959 euros per litre, and a week earlier it was 1,975 euros per litre.

In Europe, the highest average price of 95 brand petrol last week was in Greece – 2.11 euros per litre, in Denmark – 2.06 euros per liter and in Finland – 2.03 euros per litre, while the lowest price was in Hungary – 1.28 euros per liter , followed by Malta – 1.34 euros per liter, Poland – 1.41 euros per liter and Bulgaria – 1.42 euros per liter.

The highest average diesel price last week was in Sweden, where it reached €2.37 per litre, followed by Finland, where it paid €2.23 per litre, and Greece – €2.07 per litre. liter, while the lowest average diesel price was in Malta – 1.21 euros per liter, in Hungary – 1.6 euros per liter, as well as in Bulgaria and Poland – 1.67 euros per liter.

It has already been announced that the record for the average price of 95 brand petrol in Latvia will be achieved this year in the week of June 14-20, when the average price of 95 brand petrol was 2,104 euros per liter, while the record for the average diesel price was reached in the week of June 21 to 27 – 2,108 euros per liter.

The EC collects data from Member States on average fuel prices every week.
