Last Week of Window Dressing, Many Foreigners Buy These Stocks, Tuesday (28/12)

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. There is window dressing, Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) closed higher on the second trading day this week. Citing data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) via RTI Businesss, the JCI rose 22.89 points or 0.35% to a level of 6,598,343 at the close of trading Tuesday (28/12).

The increase in the JCI was supported by six of the 11 sectors on the IDX. The sector that strengthened the most was the energy sector 2.48%, followed by the industrial sector 1.74%, the technology sector 0.88%, the financial sector 0.34%, the primary consumer goods sector 0.31% and the transportation sector 0.10% .

Meanwhile, sectors in the red zone were the non-primary consumer goods sector at 1.13%, the raw goods sector at 0.29%, the health sector at 0.28%, the infrastructure sector at 0.13% and the property and real estate sector at 0.01%.

The total volume of stock trading on the IDX on Tuesday reached 30.57 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp 10.67 trillion. There were 242 stocks that rose, 285 stocks that fell and 149 stocks that were stagnant.

Foreign investors noted net buy amounting to Rp 535.41 billion in all markets in the last week of 2021 which is identical to window dressing.

Foreigners recorded the largest net buy in shares of PT Surya Esa Perkasa Tbk (THAT) of rp 134.1 billion. However, ESSA’s shares edged down 0.95% to Rp 520 per share. The total trading volume of ESSA shares reached 524.6 million with a transaction value of Rp 152.7 billion.

Shares of PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) is also widely collected by foreigners amounting to Rp 72.6 billion. UNTR shares closed up 4.20% to Rp 72.6 billion. The total trading volume of UNTR shares reached 8.4 million with a transaction value of Rp 192.7 billion.

Then foreigners also bought up a lot of shares of PT Harum Energy Tbk (HRUM) of IDR 70.6 billion. HRUM shares closed up 7.86 percent to Rp 10,975 per share. The total trading volume of HRUM’s shares reached 17.3 million with a transaction value of Rp. 186.7 billion.
