Before the entry into contention of Ligue 1 clubs in mid-December, the 8th round of the Coupe de France will be played from Friday, without confrontation between Ligue 2 clubs but with a few surprise guests. On Saturday, the ultramarines of the AJM Jumeaux de Mzouasia (Regional 1, Mayotte) were the first to qualify for the 32nd finals by beating Plancoët-Arguenon (Regional 2), Côtes d’Armor club 3-1. However, they are not the Petit Poucet of the competition: it is the RC Salouël-Saleux, Departmental 2 club of the Somme district, which evolves at the smallest level at this stage. He will face Wasquehal (National 3) on Sunday (2 p.m.), to hope to continue the adventure.

In the previous round, four Ligue 2 clubs fell by the wayside: AC Ajaccio, Caen, Dunkirk and Pau. So be careful, especially for SC Bastia, which will open the ball on Friday (7:30 p.m.) with a perilous trip to Les Herbiers (National 2), finalists of the 2018 edition. Chambly (National), surprise semi-finalist the same year, will face Beauvais (National 2) on Saturday (6 p.m.), after eliminating FC Rouen (National 2). Among the forty matches that will be played over three days, there will be a duel between National clubs on Saturday, like a derby: Laval will host Le Mans (2 p.m.).
