The factions of VVD, D66, CDA and ChristenUnie yesterday expressed their support for the draft coalition agreement, which clears the way for a new cabinet. The next step will follow this afternoon, with the presentation of the agreement to the House of Representatives and with it the rest of the country.
Before that happens, there will be consultation with the informateurs Remkes and Koolmees this morning around 09:00. This concerns the wishes that have been discussed during the consultations with the political groups. According to the negotiators, this is about “details” and “small wishes”, although there are also “really a few points and commas that still need to be discussed”, but that won’t stop the presentation.
When those last folds have been ironed out, the informants present the final agreement to the House. It consists of about fifty pages, making it thicker than originally intended, but thinner than the agreement of about seventy pages of the current (outgoing) cabinet.
