Last places to participate in the musical initiative for young people of Huelva Comborock

There are still places available to participate in the new edition of Comborock, an initiative launched by the Huelva City Council, from the Department of Social Policies and Equality that starts on January 12 with the aim of invigorating the youth of the capital through music. Registrations are still open to complete the quota established in 30 participants, young people between 14 and 25 years old interested in creating their own rock band.

The new edition of Comborock will be developed from January to March, with sessions to be held in the afternoon, at the La Morana Multifunctional Center. Maria Jose Pulido, the councilor responsible for the area, has encouraged young people “to participate in a course that will allow them to learn to create and compose songs and feel part of a band.”



In the previous editions of Comborock more than 60 young people were trained, promoting the creation of different bands and witnessing the birth of incipient Huelva artists such as the multi instrumentalist Mario Pausada, the guitarist Gonzalo navarro o go Romero brothers, in addition to groups like Bostrecho or soloists like Joanvi.

Once again, the workshop will once again be led by John Conde, Huelva-born musician with a career of more than 25 years, who has participated in numerous international tours and currently He is part of the Celtic bands Stolen Notes and Sheela Na Gig, as well as the rock group Androphonic. He is a guitarist and composer from Huelva, a multifaceted artist, whose style combines the different versions of Rock and world music, especially Irish music. The aim is to offer the necessary training, as a workshop, to encourage young people to create their own rock band.

For this, they will be introduced to the handling of musical instruments such as drums, bass, electric and acoustic guitars or keyboard, in addition to educating the voice for both solos and choirs and other possibilities. Is about stimulate your talent so that they form rock groups, with the incentive of including concerts and performances in their own formation to show the public of Huelva their learning and musical talent in different styles.

As Pulido points out, “it is a project that revolves around live music and where the main protagonist is the young person, because in addition to getting into music, it is intended to reinforce their self-esteem and social skills, joining a team, where they work to get the best out of each one, also offering them a channel to express their creativity to through songs ”.
