The crew of the first movie to be shot in space has returned to Earth!


Russian director Klim Shipenko and 37-year-old actress Yulia Peresild, who were sent to the International Space Station (ISS) by the MS-18 spacecraft from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on October 5, to shoot the first feature film to be shot in space, returned to Earth. .

Shipenko and Peresild, who completed the shooting of the movie “Vyzov” (The Trial), boarded the spacecraft together with Russian cosmonaut Oleg Novitskiy at 01:30 CET.

After a long work for the return, the spacecraft left the station at 04:14. The capsule carrying Shipenko, Peresild and Novitskiy at around 07:35 CET landed 148 kilometers southeast of the city of Zhezkazgan in the Karagan region of Kazakhstan.


During the landing of the film crew, 200 personnel, 12 Mi-8 type helicopters, 3 AN-12 and 3 AN-26 type aircraft, 5 amphibious search and evacuation vehicles were present in the region. The landing of the film crew on Earth took place successfully.


The team will first be health-tested, then re-enforced to reintegrate into the world.
