The fire broke out at around 17:00 on the passenger bus advancing in the direction of Ankara on the Northern Marmara Highway. Noticing the fire, the driver stopped the bus and evacuated the passengers. Upon the notification, many firefighters, police and medical teams were sent to the scene. The fire was extinguished with the intervention of the firefighters. The bus is completely burned. The cooling work of the teams continues.

A statement was made about the passenger bus fire in Çekmeköy from the Istanbul Governorship.

“Today, around 17.30 hours, a fire broke out in the engine section of the passenger bus on the Diyarbakır-Istanbul expedition on the North Marmara Highway (Çekmeköy). has been evacuated, we do not have any injuries or loss of life. An investigation has been initiated on the subject. Get well past all our passengers and their relatives. “
