Turkish Football Federation announced that it has been decided to take spectators at full capacity to the stadiums in professional leagues as of November 9th. The statement from TFF is as follows:
“The Turkish Football Federation Board of Directors has decided to admit spectators with 100% capacity to the stadiums in professional competitions to be played as of 09.11. The opinion of the TFF Health Board regarding the admission of spectators to the stadiums with 100% capacity, accepted by the TFF Board of Directors, is as follows:
“People aged 12-17 will have the opportunity to complete the vaccination schedule on 09.11.2021, when the 60-day period, which started with the granting of the right to vaccinate people aged 12 and over on 07.09.2021 by the TR Ministry of Health, will be completed.
VACCINE RULE STILL APPLIES
For this reason, as of 09.11.2021, those who have been vaccinated at least two doses of the vaccines accepted by the TR Ministry of Health without any age discrimination, or those who have had the Covid-19 disease and have completed the vaccination schedule as one dose of the vaccines provided by the TR Ministry of Health. It has been found appropriate to take spectators to the stadiums with full (100%) capacity in accordance with the Conditions of Entry to the Stadiums determined by the “Instruction on the Covid-19 Measures to be Applied in Competitions” for those who have had the Covid-19 disease and have not passed 180 days.
In order to keep the risk of contamination at the lowest level when spectators are taken to the stadiums at full capacity, it will be appropriate in terms of risk management in public health that people who have not completed the vaccination calendar, regardless of their age group, should not be admitted to all competitions as of 09.11.2021. Therefore, as of 09.11.2021, it will no longer be possible to take spectators to league matches by PCR test.”
In addition to vaccination, which is the most important weapon we have in the fight against the pandemic in order to protect against both Covid-19 and the flu, in this period when seasonal flu cases are increasing, masks in the stands (not removing the mask from entering the stadium until exiting the stadium), distance (the spectators are on their own seats), as well as in all areas. It would be right to emphasize once again that it is very important to sit down and not break the distance rule in a way that creates a risk of contamination during cheers and goal celebrations) and to pay maximum attention to hygiene.”
