Last minute… forest fire in Istanbul!

The fire started at Maltepe Büyükbakkakköy Mahallesi Ferhatpaşa Yolu Caddesi for a reason unknown at 16.35.

Many firefighters were sent to the region upon notice. Forest firemen also came to intervene in the fire.

When firefighters failed to respond, fire helicopters were called to the scene. The fire was brought under control after the air and ground intervention of the teams.

A written statement was made about the fire in Kayışdağı from Isatnbul Governorate. In the statement made, the following statements were included;

* According to the information received from Istanbul Security and Emergency Situations Coordination Center (GAMER); A fire occurred for an unknown reason at 16:35 in Kayışdağı forest area of ​​Maltepe district.

* Istanbul Forest Regional Directorate teams started firefighting from air and land between 16:48 hours.

* The fire, which is effective in an area of ​​approximately 1 hectare, was intervened by the Istanbul Forest Regional Directorate, 1 helicopter to the Bursa Forest Regional Directorate, 2 helicopters, 50 personnel, and 10 Forest Fire Brigade and Metropolitan fire brigade teams.

* The fire was taken under control at 17:30. Cooling work continues. DHA
