FireIt occurred at noon in the forest area in the Zeytinlik Mahallesi, Dalyan locality of Edremit. Allegedly, the fire started with 3 children burning a quilt on the floor. The flames soon spread to the reed area. in the region Balikesir The helicopter was also dispatched due to the fact that it is a treatment plant and summer sites belonging to the Metropolitan Municipality.
The flames were intervened with 4 sprinklers affiliated to Edremit Forestry Operation Directorate and fire extinguishers belonging to Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality. About 15 meters before the summer sites, the flames were taken under control. After the fire was extinguished, cooling works started in the area. Three children between the ages of 7 and 10 were taken to the Children’s Office.
