Last minute… explosion in a textile workshop in Istanbul

There was an explosion on the ground floor of a building in Mimar Sinan for an undetermined reason.

Istanbul Governorship announced that 1 person died in the incident and 10 people were slightly injured.

In a statement made by the governorship, it was said:

* According to the first determinations, an explosion occurred due to gas compression in a textile workshop located in Mimar Sinan Street, Bahçelievler Cumhuriyet Mahallesi at 04.55 hours.

* Fire brigades, 112 medical teams and police were dispatched to the scene. The fire that occurred due to the intervention of firefighters was extinguished.

* 10 people, who were slightly injured while going out of the upper floors of the building in panic, were referred to the surrounding hospitals by the medical teams, and it was understood that one foreigner died.

* After the fire, cooling works were completed in the building and the building was evacuated by evacuating for precautionary purposes. Investigation and investigation related to the event is carried out. (IHA)
