Czech fans breathed a sigh of relief. Viktoria Plzeň’s opening match against Frankfurt (today at 21:00) in the main phase of the Europa League will appear on the TV screen after all. The rights were acquired at the last moment by the public Czech Television, which broadcasts the match on the ČT Sport channel.
Originally no Czech station covered Pilsen’s match in Frankfurt. It was to be broadcast only on the Sport 1 stream and on German and Slovak pay channels.
Nova Sport, which also broadcasts Sparta in the Champions League, has the right of first choice for Europa League matches. For the opening round, she chose Wednesday’s match between Slavia Prague and Razgrad, Bulgaria.
