Relatives and friends said goodbye today to the famous musician Vítězslav Vávra, who left us last week. Who came to give him the last goodbye?
Last farewell to Vítězslav Vávra took place from 10 a.m. on Friday in the small ceremonial hall of the crematorium in Strašnice, Prague, and a number of celebrities arrived.
For example, composer and musician Jaroslav Uhlíř, moderator and lyricist Karel Šíp, but also politician Tomio Okamura appeared on the spot.
Vavra died on Thursday evening, July 1, and succumbed to lung cancer. His son Filip informed about his death on social networks.
Vítězslav Vávra was especially popular in the 1980s, when a number of his hits were created, such as the song Citronová holka. He was one of the first in our country to sing and play drums at the same time, which is why he was called a “singing drummer”. He was also the husband of the singer Věra Špinarová.
