Approximately 6.8 million private individuals and 1.5 million entrepreneurs received an invitation to file tax returns for 2021. This was possible from 1 March. On Friday morning, the counter stood at more than 8.8 million declarations received, a spokesperson for the Tax and Customs Administration reported. This is because people who are not obliged to file a report sometimes do so.
In recent days, the Tax and Customs Administration has seen an increase in the number of tax returns, says the spokesperson. “We usually see at the beginning and at the end of the declaration period that the number of declarations that come in is somewhat higher.” The Tax and Customs Administration is ‘completely set up’ for extra returns on the last day before the deadline. “The systems are in good shape.”
