Last chance for the MFF star? – “Gives extra motivation”

Only days have passed since Malmö FF secured a new Swedish Championship gold – and had to celebrate with storming supporters at home at Eleda Stadium.

– It was pretty cool. It shows how big football is in Sweden and I think it’s great fun. I have won titles before but I have not been in the middle of such chaos, says summer acquisition Niklas Moisander.

– The fans were very nice, there were no problems at all. They were happy and we were happy. It was great fun and special. You could see that everyone had missed that feeling last year when we won and the fans were not allowed to be there. Now everyone was gathered. It was very nice.

Moisander has previously played in the Champions League for AZ and Ajax. Now he realizes that the Juventus match could be his last in the main tournament.

– Now we won the championship so we have a chance next year, but I know how difficult it is to reach the Champions League. So of course it gives me extra motivation, because you never know how many chances you will get. So it’s a very special match, so we want to finish well.

The 36-year-old further says:

– We must try to just enjoy the match. We fought so hard to get to the Champions League and now we have played almost every match, so we have to enjoy now. We want to finish well and have a good taste in our mouths after the last match.

Teammate Martin Olsson agrees with Moisander.

– We want to make a good match and we do not have the pressure on us. Just go out and enjoy. We have to be focused and finish nicely. We will bring that mentality into next season, to be focused and drive on until the last match, says Olsson.

Juventus have already secured promotion to the Champions League play-offs and regardless of whether Malmö FF wins in Turin on Wednesday, the sky blues can only finish last in the group.

C More and Telia broadcast Juventus-MFF, which kicks off at 18.45 on Wednesday.

This season is being streamed all matches from the Uefa Champions League at Telia and C More.
