Last chance for residents of the 16 mayors of Mexico City who have not been vaccinated against covid-19 or that they did not have the second dose only of AstraZeneca.

This Thursday, October 28, the capital government installed a vaccination macromodule with 50 cells for stragglers in the UNAM Exhibition and Congress Center.

At 08:00, the vaccination macromodule opened its doors to receive the more than 500 stragglers who remained trained.

After receiving the biological, Mrs. Elvia Pérez, 76, and her husband Salvador Espinosa, 85, spoke with Excelsior about why they had not been immunized.

“It is very difficult for both of us to walk, when the vaccination began they told us that they would vaccinate us at home, but it was not like that, they never visited us, a friend stopped by very early and asked if they could vaccinate us, they said yes and here we are, with many problems walking, my husband and I, but here they supported us, “said Elvira Pérez, a resident of the Tlalpan mayor’s office.

The García cousins ​​in recent days turned 18 years old, they are inhabitants of the Iztapalapa mayor’s office, today they came for the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

“We thought that due to our age they would vaccinate us until another year, but last night an aunt who works in a hospital told us that today they would put everyone, we lowered the registry and today we are on the other side with our vaccines,” he said Brando Garcia.

Alejandro Moreno, Civil Engineer, was traveling for work for several months in the Yucatan peninsula, today he went to the Exhibition Center in CU for the first dose of AstraZeneca.

“For work reasons it was not possible for me to be vaccinated according to the calendar, last night I found out from other colleagues that today they would be vaccinating, he comes with the hope that they will accept me and fortunately it was like that.”

The large number of stragglers generated a pilgrimage with more than 50 street vendors who offered masks, tacos, juices, cakes, jellies and soft drinks.

On both sidewalks of Avenida del Imán, franeleros charged 50 pesos for parking on public roads.

The application of the biological AstraZeneca, first and second doses will take place only on October 28 and 29 from 08:00 to 14:00, at the UNAM Exhibition and Congress Center, Avenida del Imán 100 CU, Coyoacán.
