The Venezuelan company offers two weekly frequencies. The price of the ticket will be from 260 dollars
Ready to take off. Laser Airlines announced that as of May 5 it will fly from the Maiquetía International Airport to Curaçao, a fact that will mark the reopening of the air border between this Dutch Caribbean island and Venezuela.
According to the information published by the Venezuelan airline on its Twitter account, in principle it will offer two weekly frequencies, Tuesday and Friday. Ticket prices will start at $260.
Before the reopening of the border was made official, it emerged that three Venezuelan airlines had the authorization of the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC) to cover the route to Willemstad: Laser, Avior and Albatros.
The Prime Minister of Curaçao, Gilmar “Pik” Pisas, and his Minister of Transportation, Charles Cooper, reported on Friday, March 31, that they participated in the signing of the pact between the aeronautical authorities of the two countries to open the airspace.
Through his Facebook account, Cooper specified that the opening will take place in three phases: 1) On April 3 for charter flights contracted by one or more specific clients; 2) May 1 for general aviation; and 3) on July 1st regular flights will begin.
The tourism sector is looking forward to the reactivation of the air connection, to measure the interest of the Venezuelan market after the borders remained closed for four years. Added to this new stage is the fact that Venezuelans will be asked for a visa to enter the Caribbean part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
