The exhibition LASCIVIA – EROS SICODÉLICO, by Ángel Valdez, is on show on the Inca Garcilaso Cultural Heart of the Ministry of International Affairs (Jr. Ucayali 391, Lima) till July 31. The painter, who has devised this mission beneath the premise of “giving free rein to voluptuousness,” has invited the poet Rossella di Paolo and the visible artist Casandra Tola to take part within the exhibition, with whom he contrasts his artistic expertise. .

Ángel Valdez considers these work, made in massive format, “a riddle, in them we discover frozen dissolutions of assorted visions. The enigma lies within the reversibility of the picture, in its oscillating and variable situation. On this conspiracy there are a sequence of plates of flora or fauna, completely different illustrations of a quick assortment of mundane objects and a few booklets with erotic scenes.

Casandra Tola, visitor artist, has created a sequence of ink drawings that convey us nearer to a synthesis of the intimate and a set of clay collectible figurines that refer us to the corporality of the encounter.

Valdez accompanies the exhibition with a Guide del fisgón (a), the place he addresses the viewer and suggests, amongst different issues, the next: “Abandon modesty, let your self be carried away by concupiscence. Get pleasure from, have enjoyable, blush and, above all, snicker. Need and humor are a profitable method. (…) The exhibition seeks to induce a lysergic expertise via visions and delirious phrases. It’s essential to enable your self the ‘journey’. The expertise consists of listening to Santana’s first LP (1969). The vinyl cowl is what gave the painter the germinal impulse to conceive this mission. With such musical firm you may attain frenzy. Get pleasure from it”.

The exhibition runs from Tuesday to Friday, from 10 am to eight pm; Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, from 10 am to six pm. Admission is free.

Ángel Valdez (Lima, 1961) studied portray on the Nationwide College of Advantageous Arts in Lima and anthropology on the Pontifical Catholic College of Peru. He obtained the “Creative Tasks” scholarships from the Spanish Company for Worldwide Cooperation (AECI) and “Coaching for Ibero-American professionals within the cultural sector” from the Ministry of Training and Tradition of Spain. He’s a founding member of the A Imagen & Semejanza Venture (AI & S) for the analysis, manufacturing and dissemination of baroque work. He has exhibited within the galleries 80 m2, ICPNA (Lima and Arequipa), Praxis, John Harriman, CC Inca Garcilaso, Instituto Cervantes, Paris, Galerie Etat d’Artwork, Paris, amongst others.

He has obtained the next distinctions: VII Worldwide Portray Biennial of Cuenca, Ecuador (2001); tenth Portray Corridor of the Peruvian North American Cultural Institute (2004); III Portray Contest of the Central Reserve Financial institution of Peru (2011).
