Larry David is an App Store reviewer in a funny unreleased video from WWDC14

In practically all the most recent WWDCs, Apple has opened the opening keynote of the first day with some humorous video. Highlights, for example, the “documentary” on the migration of developers, which received much applause as Tim Cook took the stage. Now there has been a snippet of a video destined for WWDC 2014, one in which Larry David is reviewing the App Store.

The App Store seen in a humorous way

The finding must be attributed to Sam Henri-Gold, creator of The Unofficial Apple Archive, who has published three images from the video on his Twitter account. In one of them we can see Evan Spiegel, co-founder and CEO of Snap Inc. Although the original video has not been published, from Applesfera we have been able to find it and it heads these lines.

In the video we see how Larry David, a well-known American actor, acts as an App Store reviewer. A position in which, for example, you have to reject the app “Annoying Pigeons”, a clear reference to Angry Birds, because it is considered plagiarism.

The truth is we do not know why Apple decided to remove the video from WWDC 2014. At the end of this developer conference the video that led the inaugural keynote showed several people describing how they imagine a developer.

The truth is that the introductory videos to the different WWDCs are almost a mini-event in themselves. The humor that develops in these short films, without neglecting the original message that they want to convey, always makes us start off on the right foot what is the largest annual event in the Apple universe.
