Hamburg – Die 2. Women’s Bundesliga started the second half of the season last weekend and the Hamburger SV remains the front runner. In the promoted duel at Borussia Mönchengladbach there was another draw in the first leg after the 2-2 draw. This time both clubs separated 1:1 (1:0).

Larissa Mühlhaus equalized in the 68th minute after the hosts took the lead shortly before half-time. HSV coach Marwin Bolz is quoted on the club’s website as follows: “We created a lot of opportunities, but missed the final punch.”

The table became closer together. The new pursuer is SV Meppen, who won 3-1 against previously second-placed 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam. SC Sand is now third (2-1 at TSG Hoffenheim II). All three have 27 points. Turbine follows with 26 points, ahead of FC Carl Zeiss Jena (24, one game less), SG Andernach (23) and FC Ingolstadt (22), which is in seventh place.

The Hamburg women will only continue in two weeks. Then Eintracht Frankfurt II (3/3, 11 a.m.) comes to Paul-Hauenschild-Platz in Norderstedt.
