Largest Order for Electric Buses: 411 to be Delivered to Rome by 2026

The first buses are to be delivered at the end of this year, and the entire order will be completed by mid-2026.

With the Iveco Bus brand, the Iveco Group has won its largest order for electric buses to date. ATAC will deliver a total of 411 electric buses to the Rome transport company. The contract, which also includes ten years of maintenance, is worth 300 million euros (approx. 7.5 billion CZK).

Buses with a length of 12 and 18 meters will be delivered. They will be taken care of by Romana Diesel, which is one of the largest European Iveco Bus dealers and which serves the Lazio area. The first buses are to be delivered at the end of this year, and the entire order will be completed by mid-2026.

“We are extremely proud to be an important part of Rome’s transition to greener and more efficient mobility,” stated Iveco Bus President Domenico Nucera.

Iveco E-Way electric buses are produced by a company in France, batteries are produced by the parent group FPT in Italy.
