You can dive to a depth of up to 75 meters in a lake near Most in the Ústí nad Labem region. The beautiful water area with cleaner water than in Orlík was created by flooding the former Ležáky locality, where brown coal was mined for less than a century. Quarry impregnation began in 2008 and lasted for four years. Today there are piers in the water and cabins and a playground in the lake.
The Ležáky locality was an area with a large supply of brown coal. The first mine was built in 1901 and mining lasted less than a century. Lake Most was created by flooding the whole area, including the cultivation of the shores, the Ministry of Finance paid about 2.5 billion crowns for it.
Today, the water area is larger than Macha Lake and its maximum depth is 75 meters. The photo gallery was created for the magazine Respect, who in early August described the origin of the lake.
