There is a suspicion that the man was infected with the coronavirus. The freighter was assigned a place of refuge in the Elbe port of Brunsbüttel (Dithmarschen district). There are more people on board with signs of infection to be tested today. The crew are not allowed to leave the ship. Employees of the Dithmarschen District Health Office are on site. Waiting for the test results
The Cuxhaven accident command has taken over the overall command. If all crew members were tested negative, the freighter could be unloaded and sailed again, a spokesman said.
